The effects of smoking has been studied on for many years now and researchers will always find discoveries about the effects that its numerous compound have in a person's body. Of the many things that are inside a single stick, the gas-phase radicals in cigarette smoke is probably one that is most studied about.
Many theories and studies were made based on this subject which usually aims to uncover the different things that it does to a person. This has become widely discusses subject because of the fact that more and more people are now into the habit of smoking and because it has been linked to a lot of diseases.
One thing that is discovered by research is that it is capable of damaging a person's DNA which would mean that the chances of one developing cancer is very high. Smokers are in danger of suffering from cancers of the respiratory tract like lung cancer and cancer of the tongue.
It can also do damage to a person's tissues, muscles, and other body organs. It can give rise to many fatal respiratory diseases and can also exacerbate any existing condition that one may have. Cardiovascular diseases are also linked to this one.
There are also studies that would claim that these gases and smoking in general also can affect someone in a positive way. However, experts would still warn people not to use this as an excuse to do more smoking because solid evidence has not been established.
The rate of people whose cause of death are related to their continuous usage of cigarette and tobacco is significantly increasing. The number is enough to tell people that whether or not one can get good things out of it, the risks will always outweigh the benefit.
