There's a lot of information out there on the do's and don'ts of dating, and for sure you've heard firsthand accounts from friend. There are also a lot of men and women out there who will gladly tell you about their dating successes and horror stories. Amidst all these, some dating basics remain the same.
If you're bent on going out on a date and taking the girl of your dreams out to a nice dinner, find out first where you want to take her, and how much you're willing to spend. It doesn't need to be a fancy restaurant that might seriously dent your pocket. Don't take her to a noisy club or a party either, if you want to make the most of having an intimate, quiet time with her.
Now, go up to her and ask her out. Feel and look confident when you walk up to her. Start a conversation with her, talk about something neutral, or ask her an open-ended question so you get to talk a bit. Tell a joke or two, as humor makes for a faster warm-up.
Ask her the question, but time it right.Be confident when you walk up to her. Make sure she's not busy, or talking to someone, or in a hurry. Sometimes, timing's all that matters. Don't let your nerves get in the way. Start with casual conversation, some open-ended questions so you get to talk a bit. As her casually, and always have eye contact.
When the date pushes through, be on your best behavior. This means being polite, treating your date with respect like opening doors for her in the resto or when she gets in the car. Pay attention to her, and make her feel like she's the only woman for you.
Look your best. Wear clothes you like, or you feel comfortable in. Don't bring out your snappy tux or that crisp suit. They're best worn during weddings or formal occasions. If it's just a date in a casual resto or cafe, no need to wear a business suit. Just make sure you're wearing clean, pressed clothes.
When you pop the date question and she turns you down, don't take it too hard. She might really be busy or might be currently seeing someone. In that case, don't take it personally. There's plenty of single women to ask out. Who knows, it might not be the right time for both of you to go out.
Remember these basic stuff and you'll score points with the girl you're dating. Beyond how you look and what you're wearing, it's your personality which will make or break your date.
