There is something quite pleasant about sitting in the shade of a patio umbrella in the morning or at the end of a long afternoon with a refreshing glass of something cold to drink. Tea is my choice to drink but the subject is umbrellas: the pole umbrellas and the graceful one that sit off to the side.
Off Set Umbrellas
These are the swans of the umbrella world - gracefully lifting overhead a shape of fabric that is designed to shade you and your friends. With the supporting pole being fashioned so that the support is not front and center of the conversation, the offset umbrella provides shade without interfering with eye-to-eye contact.
The amazing variety of sizes and shapes is wonderful. You can have a small intimate portion of shade around two chairs or have an entire table and chairs be covered by a 13 foot giant of aan umbrella.
Offset umbrellas really are the giants of the sun umbrellas. They provide you a shaded area that is gentle and cool. They can set the mood for a peaceful time under their spread.
Pole Umbrellas
The pole umbrellas are the normal every day ones that you see pictured in the middle of outdoor tables, giving shade on the sunniest of days or keeping the showers off you. If you are having a conversation, do not stop because of a shower, stay under the umbrella and have some more conversation and refreshments.
These umbrellas became popular at the famous hotels from around the oceans. You relax in the shade after you have reached the amount of direct sun for the day. Early on, the fabric was always bright colors but of poor quality so it lasted just a short while. Fortunately, that is no longer the case.
Now that short life has been extended.With the color selection topping thirty or more different colors and patterns available, you can match any decor. With the treatment of the fabric to withstand the sun rays, the fabrics last a long time. Sun fading has become a thing of the past.
Lastly, how do you anchor the umbrella? Even when you place it through a table, you need a stand. The stands can be very plain or very involved. Filling the base with water or even sand will hold a good sized umbrella stable, every in a stiff wind.
So whether or not the heads tilt or stand straight, poles or off-set, no matter what the fabric color or pattern, each sun umbrella will provide you with a place out of the sun. And if you want to find one, you do not have to leave home to shop - do it on line.
